Recipient Org: Description Just Bee aims to make a lasting contribution to the health, wellbeing and prosperity of the people and communities of Dundee. Our Mission is to offer immediate relief, guidance and support to help reduce inequalities impacting low income individuals and families in Dundee. We do so by providing holistic, person centred, wide ranging support services and advocacy for some of the most vulnerable people in our society. We achieve our mission by providing one-to-one support sessions, free community lunches and food parcels as well as offering a dynamic weekly program of participatory arts and recreational activities. We address mental health issues through offering clients free access to onsite counselling sessions. Just Bee also uses the arts as a soft engagement tool to build peer support, raise awareness of pertinent social issues and give a voice to the voiceless. Our organisation sees the inherent value in collaborative work between third sector and statutory bodies. We work closely with a wide variety of partner organisations in Dundee to ensure our clients are supported to access any and all support they need to improve their standard of living. Our Vision Our charity is focussed on providing a safe, nurturing and welcoming place in the city centre where individuals and families can express themselves openly and get immediate help to address any challenges they are facing in their personal or family lives. Our support staff work with each client to try to resolve stress factors across wide ranging issues for example food insecurity, addiction issues and mental health challenges. Improved Health Outcomes -, free to access accredited counselling service, scheduled and unscheduled sessions with our onsite health practitioners, access to physical participation activities , Intensive Sleeves Up/holisitc support Access to Arts & Cultural Activities - we provide a range of weekly gender specific group activities, family activities, community theatre productions, and trips to places Volunteers, Training, Employment + Education / Learning and Development Pathways - dual role volunteer services, placement opportunities, training opportunities for volunteers.
