Test the effectiveness of the Cannabis Clinic for Psychosis’ intervention for cannabis use reduction/cessation in patients with psychotic disorders (3236)

£535,126

Cannabis use is the most preventable risk factor for bad outcome in people with psychosis. The Cannabis Clinic for Patients with Psychosis (CCP), funded initially by the Maudsley Charity and now also by SLaM, offers a tailored intervention to reduce/cease cannabis use. We propose, with the support of a focus group of young adults with psychosis and cannabis use disorder from the CCP, an ethical clinical trial design, which allows to formally test the effectiveness of the CCP intervention still offering the intervention to all the patients referred to the CCP.
