The project will continue to work in partnership with the Highland Council Gaelic team and local Gaelic agencies to deliver a Gaelic medium support programme for pupils attending GME at Kilmuir and Staffin primaries The project will continue to focus on supporting and developing the language acquisition skills of pupils thus promoting and increasing the use of Gaelic by young people. As many young people live in households where Gaelic is not the first language it is vital that we continue to promote and encourage Gaelic usage for pupils and through the project, in partnership with local Gaelic organisations, will continue to offer a programme of extra-curricular activities to take place out with the school day .
