Recipient Org: Description Great War Centenary Flagpole Appeal is a community group which has come together to act as a catalyst for the people of Haslemere to commemorate the centenary of the end of the Great War. The working group currently consists of 5 people, which is expected to grow as the project grows. The resultant and ongoing outcome of the project will be the restoration of the iconic flagpole which sits on the top of St. Christopher's Church tower. The Working group aims to deliver a worthwhile and lasting project in the memory of those men and women from Haslemere who died not only during the Great War but, also in every conflict since. The Parish of Haslemere incorporates St Bartholomew's and St Christopher's Church. Its governing body comprises 18 Trustees, who meet six times per year. Haslemere PCC is a registered charity.
