Recipient Org: Description 40 Degreez Centre for Young People in Farnham is a registered charity providing a safe and enjoyable environment for young people to meet, especially those who are particularly vulnerable. The Centre includes a shower and laundry facilities for homeless young people, as well as a kitchen for the provision of cooked food at every youth club. The variety of leisure, social and advisory activities which take place at 40 Degreez includes sporting activities, 'Hangout' Drop-in youth café for 10-14 year olds, and ‘FAB Club’ - open to pupils of local Special Needs Schools. 40 Degreez employs 4 part time staff, and is manged by 6 Trustees. The employment of the Youth Leader means that the youth work is increasingly integrated with other relevant local agencies, thereby delivering more comprehensive and longer term support for young people. Waverley Borough Council owns the building and the Trustees manage and use the building on a leasehold basis. The lease started in 2005 and runs for 99 years.
