Recipient Org: Description | Chaldon Cricket Club (CCC) is a Community Amateur Sports Club which was established in 1923. The Club plays regular cricket matches in Chaldon in Tandridge. Two sides play on a Saturday and participate in the Fullers Brewery Surrey County League under the title Chaldon CMO. This title reflects the merger with Croydon Municipal Officers Cricket Club in 2011. The Club also runs a Sunday side which plays traditional friendly matches. The Club's principal aim is to encourage people of any age, ethnicity, or ability to play cricket in Chaldon. Home games are played at 6 Brothers' Field, Hilltop Lane. The Club does not employ staff but pays contractors to maintain the grounds. The ground and pavilion are owned by the National Trust. CCC has a 25 year lease (from 2011) will expire in 2035, with an option to renew. Under the terms of the lease, CCC is responsible for the maintenance of the ground and pavilion. The Club has a Management Committee of 8 people. |
