Purpose of Organisation | Princess Alice Hospice (PAH) is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. It based in Esher and has for more than 30 years provided free, high quality specialist end-of-life care to tens of thousands of people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. It was founded by the local community, and at any one-time 800+ people in need receive direct care and support. The Princess Alice team cared for 2,659 patients in their own homes last year. There were 2,414 attendances across the different activities provided by Day Services, supporting 254 individuals ranging in ages between 7 and 107 years old, with a wide range of conditions. The social work, chaplaincy and bereavement care teams provided 8,800 support sessions. They were the first hospice in the UK to be rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care quality commission (CQC) in all five inspection categories. |
