Purpose of Organisation | Transform Housing & Support (THS) is an incorporated charity, company limited by guarantee, and registered social housing provider, which has been operating since 1972. They are a provider of high-quality social housing and support services to 2,000 people in Surrey, West Sussex, Berkshire and south west London. The charity's mission is to provide housing and support for homeless, vulnerable, and excluded people, empowering them to reach their goals and live independent and fulfilling lives. Support is provided to people who face obstacles such as homelessness, mental health issues and disabilities, people in recovery from drug and alcohol dependency, with a history of offending, and those leaving care. Much of the charity's work is preventative, intervening and assisting people to turn their lives around before their situation gets worse. Each client is provided with a comfortable home where they can feel safe. Specialist one-to-one support is also given to each person, to enable them to overcome the issues they are facing, to build their confidence, gain essential life skills, and participate in their community, and access training, education and employment opportunities. The aim is to enable people to move on and live independently when they are ready. Transform owns around 500 housing units and manages almost another 100 for other organisations. |
