Purpose of Organisation | Woking & District Men’s Shed (WDMS) is a CIO and was incorporated in July 2019. Their aims are to promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing men aged 18 or over, within Woking and the surrounding area, from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society through the provision of facilities in which they can meet to undertake creative, physical or recreational activities, learn or pass on skills and knowledge, and support each other socially. NEW as of 23.01.23 The aim of the Shed is to provide an opportunity for friendships, social engagements and skill sharing between men in a safe and enjoyable environment, in which members can meet and carry out creative projects acceptable to the Shed and of their ow choosing, individually, jointly and for the benefit of the wider community, thus reducing social exclusion.
