Recipient Org: Description Our aim is to alleviate the growing social problem of bed poverty affecting thousands of children and young people aged 2-18 across Surrey. Our geographical coverage area extends across north and northeast Surrey, which includes the boroughs of Elmbridge, Runnymede, Spelthorne, Mole Valley, Epsom & Ewell, and Reigate & Banstead. Dreams For Hope provides a full bed package (bed frame, mattress, bed linens, pillow and a sleeping suit) to children who do not have a bed of their own. We deliver beds direct to the family home and assemble the beds on site. The beds are made of high quality metal and can support a young person up to 100kgs. All our linens are 100% cotton and the pillows hypo-allergenic. Over 90% of the beds we provide are standard singles, however we can supply bunk beds or day beds with a trundle. We are a referral only service and have established a network of relationships with a wide range of family support agencies, schools and other local charities. In 2025 we provided 64 beds; our initial target for 2026 was 120 beds, however given the demand over the first two months of this year (37 beds delivered to date), we have put ourselves in a position to provide at least 150 if demand remains robust.
