Firestarter Fund Sierra Leone (360G-CR-1923033)
Civil war and the Ebola outbreak have left many young people in Sierra Leone unemployed or under-employed, but a new day is dawning with fresh opportunities. People are looking for the unconventional. This funding will go to Sensi Tech Hub in Freetown – a new community space where technology and entrepreneurship can interact to create jobs and help young people get off the ground. With QYL funding Sensi will give small grants and training to individuals, youth-led start-ups and more established organisations working with young people to help them be more innovative and effective. As a result more young people will be able earn a living and contribute to social change in Sierra Leone.
