Funding Organization
£100,000
Recipient Organization

With funding from the Vodafone Foundation, this project aims to test a model of civil society and tech-hub collaboration by running two challenges exploring the potential of mobile technology to make a social impact.Co-creation Hub, Nigeria’s most pre-eminent tech hub, will employ a user centred design methodology to build and deliver a challenge to explore how mobile can help NGOs raise funds from growing domestic middle classes and/or diaspora communities, thereby providing for greater sustainability and reduced reliance on grant finance. They will also support Ispace, a tech hub in Ghana, to run a challenge in conjunction with local CSOs targeting the potential of mobile to support young women and girls in urban areas to be safe from violence. Indigo Trust will facilitate this partnership, supporting learning around the effective delivery of the model with a view to establishing proof of concept.
