Recipient Org: Description PARCA is a refugee-led migrant support organisation, founded in 2002 to support African refugees and asylum seekers in the area. Over time, PARCA's reach and impact has expanded and we now support refugees from all over the world, as well as vulnerable European migrants. PARCA’s vision is that ‘refugees, asylum seekers and migrant communities have all the skills and confidence they need to realise their potential and they are integrated in Peterborough, in a city that respects diversity. PARCA's mission is ‘to develop and run a one-stop community centre where refugees, asylum seekers, disadvantaged and migrant communities get all the support and services they need to build a life of quality and contribute to a cohesive community in Greater Peterborough that values diversity. We work towards our mission and vision through delivering a variety of services including; advice and support drop-in, IT and employment skills, ESOL classes, work skills training such as first aid, food hygiene and health and safety, a youth group and a women's group. In addition, PARCA aims to improve the quality of life for migrants and refugees through working strategically. We chair the Peterborough Multi-Agency forum, and support grassroots migrant community groups to develop and build capacity.
