Recipient Org: Description | Froglife is a national wildlife conservation charity with a specific focus on the conservation of our native amphibian and reptile species and their habitats. We deliver our work through three inter-connected programmes: Transforming Landscapes - working with communities in urban neighbourhoods to create and restore freshwater and terrestrial habitats and delivering an extensive volunteer training programme. Part of this programme is to create Neighbourhood Wildlife Corridors to facilitate the movement of wildlife through dense urban neighbourhoods; Transforming Lives - we work directly with individuals/groups, predominantly from disadvantaged/vulnerable communities/neighbourhoods to encourage people to take action to conserve wildlife; Transforming Research - we undertake practical research that is applied to our work, our research in addition to focusing on establishing best practice conservation methodology includes working with universities such as the Open University to establish the impact that our work has on individuals health and well-being. |
