Enable - improving mother and child health through community based care and support (360G-DEPF-100153)

One off support for 'Enable, Phase Two', a three year project in the Eastern Cape in South Africa. Enable aims to train and support 55 community-based workers to deliver healthcare and support directly to the homes of 4,000 mothers and children in Nyandeni, who otherwise would have severely limited access to quality care. This builds on a successful three-year pilot, working with Mentor Mothers (MM) to deliver healthcare to 1,500 families. Enable, Phase Two seeks to embed the model and strengthen the community-clinic link by training Government-employed community health workers in the MM model.
