Recipient Org: Description | We operate in Brentwood, Basildon and the surrounding areas to provide respite for people who are long term carers for sufferers of permanent physical and/or mental disabilities by providing trained Care Support Workers in the home and in special Clubs which we run. This involves the following areas of activity: a). Adult Sitting Services supporting carers of adults in their own homes. b). Children with Disabilities Sitting Service offering the same service but allowing parents to spend quality time with other siblings. c). After School Clubs for Children with Disabilities enabling children to mix with their peers, develop communication skills, gain confidence and enjoy games, crafts and entertainment. Again this allows parents to spend time with siblings. d). 3 Day Care Clubs for those suffering with dementia including early stage and advanced dementia e). Young Carers Club where children who are carers can meet others in a similar role and enjoy games, crafts and entertainment. |
