Additionally, we strive to raise awareness of stroke in the local community. We do this through the provision of: - a support group for Stroke Survivors and their carers. This group meets every second Thursday at Fullbridge Church, Maldon 10.30 to 12.30. This includes a 30 minute group exercise session with a neuro-physiotherapist or exercise instructor. - an Aphasia Group to assist survivors with communication difficulties. This is a drop in session every Monday afternoon at Maldon Library. - a carers group that meets once a month at Fullbridge Church. Volunteers are available to assist survivors and provide some respite for carers. - quarterly visits to local attractions such as garden centres, theatres, restaurants etc. |
