Recipient Org: Description | The Gifted is an organisation that loves working with young people, supporting them to unlock their gifts and create brighter futures for themselves. Through creative and interactive discovery workshops The Gifted enables participants to develop transferable skills while supporting their emotional and mental wellbeing and helping them move forward positively at key stages in their lives gaining creative, entrepreneurial and leadership skills within an enabling framework of positivity and care. Founded in 2012, The Gifted has since worked with over 4000 young people. Our beneficiaries have experienced disadvantage and as a result they may low aspirations and are likely have low educational attainment. The young people we work with are at greater risk of being left behind educationally, or have been left behind. Young people are at the heart and soul of what we do. We work with young people to create solutions to the issues that they face in a relevant way. The young people themselves have expressed a clear need for our services stating how it has a real impact on their lives - developing their selfesteem, transferable and technical skills, improving mental health, gaining practical work experience, enabling them to contribute to their community and feel valued. |
