Recipient Org: Description | CRSG have been establishing themselves in Colchester since January 2018. With extensive experience dealing with homeless individuals and dedicated outreach, we have an unrivalled relationship with our client group. Actively participating with Colchester Borough Homes, Beacon House, Colchester Emergency night shelter and other partner support networks to achieve positive outcomes for local rough sleepers. We have already supported rough sleepers, helping them attend official appointments including, but not exclusive to, Universal Credit, Job Centre, PIP, ESA, local council and GP. The ‘Sleep Bus Colchester’ is to provide short to medium term overnight accommodation and continuous support for up to 8 guests at a time. In conjunction with our partner agencies and with ongoing advice and encouragement from Colchester Borough Homes, we can help bridge the gap away from homelessness for those adults who are not able to access other shelters due to addictions and negative personal history. It is neither a ‘dry’ or ‘wet’ shelter and every guest will be individually assessed to determine a unique personal plan. 'Claudius Gateway' is a brand new Cafe/Tourist attraction in the centre of Colchester . It will allow us to help ex Homeless persons/ ex offenders, back into the world of work. |
