| Recipient Org: Description | 1st Burnham on Crouch Guides offers girls between the ages of 10 and 14 an opportunity to try new activities and learn new skills, develop their confidence and be part of a community group and the World Wide group of Girlguiding. We work closely with the local parishes and communities to ensure the girls are provided a complete and full programme involving everyone. Our aim is to develop these young girls into confident and well rounded young ladies who are given the most opportunities possible. Please note that 1st Burnham on Crouch Guides was previously 1st Althorne Guides. In July 2018 the previous leader retired and to enable the unit to continue it was agreed to move to Burnham so run after Brownies. We started with just 6 guides and in September we will have 23. It has been a very positive move and we are not reaching out to more young girls. |
