Recipient Org: Description | Saint Francis Hospice is one of the largest adult hospices in the UK – providing care and support to 1,800 adults with a life-limiting illness each year, plus pre and post bereavement support to 3,300 family members. We cover a diverse and growing population of around one million people from Havering, Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge, Brentwood and parts of West Essex. Our specialist care services, which support our holistic approach to care and support, include: • Inpatient ward for people who require 24/7 care • Hospice at Home providing quality end-of-life care in a person’s own home • Specialist Community and Crisis Support service providing symptom control to people in the community • Day unit – a social and outpatient hub with a range of specialist medical, therapeutic and social services • Bereavement service for adults and children • Family Support service providing advice and advocacy • Pastoral care • Occupational therapy, physiotherapy and complimentary therapies |
