| Recipient Org: Description | T.I.M.E. are an Essex based music charity that was established to relieve the needs of those with special and/or additional needs through the provision of musical based activities. Our concept enables participants of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, to express and experiment, within a musical environment. Our staff have a wealth of experience spanning over 15 years of delivering to a broad range of care homes, day centres, schools (mainstream and SEN), mental health support schemes and the homeless sector. We initially operated as a Ltd company, but wished to further our reach and access areas that are deeply effected by little to no funding and who have difficulty raising finances to acquire such services. A grant based approach via charity registration was a logical next step. Our charity status was granted 1 week before the first Covid lockdown. This prevented us from being able to conduct any of our initially planned activities and we were forced to delay the full launch of our service. We are now in a position where we are seeking to provide and empower Essex residents with the therapeutic engagement and expression they have been so heavily deprived of. |
