Recipient Org: Description We are an Explorer Scout Unit based at Warley. We also run the local scout based Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme for explorer scouts in Brentwood. Scouting actively engages and supports young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. Locally we try and provide as many varied opportunities to explore new experiences and to give them "skills for life" We run weekly meetings and run a varied programme. We run camps and overnight experiences. We encourage our young people to take an active part in planning and decision making.
