| Recipient Org: Description | Beatfreeks UK Ltd is a social enterprise engaging young people aged 16-25 in arts, media, training, enterprise and leadership opportunities in Birmingham. We are a youth led organisation, which is reflected in the numbers of young people who are directors, volunteers and members of our Youth Steering Team. This youth led approach means we are able to identify easily with other young creative people wanting to engage with the arts. We use the creative arts to work with young people from deprived and disadvantaged areas and from hard-to-reach backgrounds, such as NEET individuals to provide them with employability skills, social enterprise skills, improve their artistic abilities and achieve their potential. By working with these individuals within creative art, we aim to create a better world through equipping, engaging and empowering young people to apply their creativity to affect personal and social change. We want to extend our reach through a decentralised growth strategy which will enable social entrepreneurs in new places to adapt our model to respond to the needs of young people in their communities. |
