Recipient Org: Description Redeemer Church aims to work for the good of the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing of the Wychall Farm estate, surrounding area and Birmingham. This is done in the building of communities in which individuals are mutually supportive of each other. Much of this work is done on the Wychall Estate and surrounding area, but not exclusively. We exist for the benefit of our members and for the benefit of the wider community. We focus on initiating connections with disadvantaged and often socially isolated individuals, connecting them together with their local community and connecting them to necessary services or signposting, focused on improving their wellbeing, physical health and mental health, reducing inequality and improving quality of life. This also builds robust communities and promotes social inclusion. The majority of this work is done with over 50s and vulnerable families. We mainly achieve this through mobile coffee morning, coffee morning/afternoon, pop up projects and events, day trips and then particular services such as futureproof (specifically over 50s), clothes bank, share shack and the citizen enablement fund.
