| Recipient Org: Description | Northfield Arts Forum (NAF), a CIO, has been operating as one of 10 Arts Forums around Birmingham since 2016. It is a vibrant grassroots community arts organisation generating creative and cultural activities for everyone. At the core of NAF is a commitment to inclusivity and accessibility. Our artists create interactive arts activities that address the diverse needs of the community, working with individuals of all ages, socio-economic backgrounds, and varying Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. NAF currently run a ‘meanwhile space’ in Northfield Shopping Centre which is our Arts and Community Hub and a Community Garden on the site of a formally unused car park. Throughout the week, ourselves and other arts, community groups and local charities have the opportunity to use the shop at reasonable rates. Throughout the year we deliver programmes such as NAF CAF, our Community Arts Cafe, a Community Gardening Group, HAF; bringing free activities and meals to those on free school meals and SEND children during the holidays and one off arts projects which aim to celebrate our local area and all the people that live within it. |
