Recipient Org: Description Colebridge Trust is a registered charity established and recognised as the community development trust for the most deprived areas within North Solihull and across the West Midlands. We have been empowering people and third-sector organisations within Solihull and surrounding areas since 2002. Much of our work focuses on North Solihull in particular regions such as Chelmsley Wood, Kings Hurst, and Smiths Wood, which are within the top 5 – 10% most deprived in the UK. Our work also supports those often marginalised through disability, health conditions, and other life-limiting circumstances, such as care responsibilities in the remainder of the borough and surrounding areas. Our key focus areas for the trust are as follows: ● Employment and Skills ● Junction – Community Centre ● Social Supermarket ● Assembly and Social Enterprise Our vision is to seek a cohesive society where people can achieve their full potential and where barriers to living inclusive, happy, and healthy lives are challenged through providing of creative, innovative, and enterprising activities. Alongside our main activities, we are also the ‘local trusted organisation’ for the Cars Area Together Partnership, supporting local people of Smiths Wood who were awarded £1m of Big Local National Lottery funding to spend over ten years for community development and renovation that helped the community to improve opportunity and living space for the residents.
