Open to the public since 1970, Rydal Mount is now at risk, as it is currently for sale. This urgent project aims to secure its future by acquiring the property, completing essential repairs, and developing a sustainable operational model. Led by the Wordsworth Trust, which has successfully protected Dove Cottage since 1891, the project will ensure Rydal Mount remains accessible to the public. However, feasibility work and negotiations cannot begin until funding is secured, and current cost estimates remain provisional pending a formal offer and valuation.
