Food Bank Sustainability Grants: 2025/26 - 2027/28 (360G-JuliaRausingTrust-a1KSr00000JG4iQ)

Trussell are launching their new three year strategy in October 2025 and as part of this are planning to launch a Food Bank Sustainability Grants programme which enables food banks facing particularly challenging contexts to consistently offer the following core services: - A warm welcome; a welcoming space and person-centred support - A parcel of essential items of food that meets the dietary requirements of everyone in their family and provides instant relief - Signposting to the right support services to end the deep poverty cycle. The total grant budget will be £5.93m per year with the typical grants size to be £30-£40k and a maximum of £50k, with some exceptions depending on need. Sustainability grants are for food banks that are facing significant financial challenge, such that they will struggle to maintain their core food bank operation over the next 12 months. This grant is intended to give food banks breathing space to enable it to sustain its core operation, while implementing necessary changes in order to meet need and address long-term sustainability. Food banks also receive significant non-financial support and advice from Trussell.
