VRF (Emergency Grants) provide rapid emergency financial assistance to help people across the UK access a safe place to call home. Through a grant of up to £500, people at risk of or experiencing homelessness can pay a deposit or first month?s rent, ID, removal or emergency accommodation costs. VRF (Sustaining Accommodation) is a new pilot launching in November 25. Building on learnings from previous ?Preventing Eviction Grants?, it will test a new approach, aimed at helping people sustain the accommodation they have moved into, improving their housing stability and preventing a return to homelessness. Grants of £500 will be responsive to what people need to maintain the housing they are in, to purchase household items, gain digital access or connect with their local community.
