Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) is a painful, genetic condition which changes normally healthy red blood cells into a ‘sickle’ shape – making it difficult for the cells to move freely through the body or carry enough oxygen. We aim to empower and assist people with SCD to achieve their full economic and social potential through offering advice & support.
