Recipient Org: Description Our aims are to protect women and children and provide the best possible services to empower and support them, provide a place of safety offering women-sensitive services, recognise and meet the needs of our children and to raise awareness of the causes and extent of domestic abuse. We seek to achieve these aims by ensuring that the needs of our women and children are kept in the heart of everything we do,that our Children’s Service is core to our activities and that our services are opened up with direct access in the community, for the community. Our mission is to provide support, care and refuge for women and children fleeing domestic abuse. Bromley and Croydon Women’s Aid have been providing domestic abuse services in Bromley for 40 years & Croydon for 4 years, and currently manage 9 refuges for up to 54 women & 66 children at any one time, and offer Resettlement support. As well as offering refuge for women escaping domestic abuse, our many services include: A Helpline for Community Outreach 121 support (low-medium risk clients) & Advocacy (IDSVA service – high-risk clients), One Stop Shop and Adult Support Groups (Keys to Freedom course). Provision of specialist Outreach services: No Recourse to Public Funds/EEA Nationals 121 support, Japanese Nationals 121 support, BAME 121/Support Groups, 121 Child Support services (children in refuge), Young People’s 121 Outreach & Support Groups. Training & Awareness services: Adult Training & Awareness (community, B2B), Schools Healthy Relationships Workshops & ‘Helping Hands’ Child Support Groups.
