Recipient Org: Description Our main focus for outcomes is that we make a difference to the residents of Southward by addressing the disadvantages they face and breaking through the barriers to participation and hopefully changing their lives for the better. We, as residents of this deprived social housing area know most of the residents and talk to them about their needs and what they would like to see set up for them to participate in. The lack of employment opportunities affects not only the adults but the children in a family too. It has a knock-on effect on income and how a family as a whole survives. Regarding the children, some of them behave badly around here because of their home situation but they all seem to be tarred with the same brush and are socially excluded from many groups and settings. We believe every child has a need and we hope to equip them with life tools to make positive changes in their lives. We also have found a lot of elderly people who are vulnerable and without family to support them and are socially isolated so hope to help change their lives for the better.
