| Recipient Org: Description | Knowle West Health Association aims to help bridge the gap in health inequalities in one of the most deprived areas in Bristol. This includes both Physical and Mental health as a way of complete wellbeing. We currently have a 1.3 acre allotment and community garden space, a community kitchen as well as groups that attend an elderly group and footcare for elderly and those with diabetes, our unfunded pilot project is a counselling service which is free to those in Knowle who wouldn't normally be able to afford it, it started as a placement set up by a student in the charity but the waiting list is so long for it to become a full project we would need more money for support of students on placement to be able to have a complete service. The counselling service would complete our holistic approach. |
