Recipient Org: Description | The Precious Time Consortium exists to enrich the lives of people living in the PATCHWAY area. These people are generally aged over 50 , however there are some exceptions to this in some of the groups. They may also include people with disability and mental health issues where the work of the group is appropriate for that person to maintain an active and inclusive life . The groups in the PTC are as follows 1) PATCHWAY Memory Cafe , a Cafe held twice a month for people living with dementia and their carers. 2) The Silver Surfers , an IT group which meets weekly and helps over 50 s to become computer literate and help with iPads, Skyping , online payments etc . People with learning difficulties can also attend. 3) Men In Sheds meet weekly to prevent isolation in older men . They meet and make wooden artefacts, grow plants , and chat 4)Sunday Afternoon Tea Party , held monthly for the elderly of the community 5) PATCHWAY sewing group meet weekly and are new to the Consortium 6) Musical Memories , also a new group meet once a month for the benefit of the elderly in PATCHWAY |
