Recipient Org: Description > Our group is for people to come and be open about what's going on and we all help each other, eg. if someone is having a bad day. It's safe space to discuss feelings, whatever is going on it your life. > It's a place to build confidence and self esteem. You wont feel isolated because we are all in the same boat. > We work with disabled people to bring them back into the community and stop social isolation. > Art is a healthy distraction. We can put all our frustration into something positive. We can get our anger out. It's a way of expressing ourselves, eg. pain related art. > We aim to give someone the confidence to go to an art supply shop, or go out in public or do something at home. We aim to give people the confidence to create when they wouldn't ordinarily. > We aim to give people the chance to experience the therapeutic benefits of arts and crafts eg. felting when you have chronic pain. > We want to develop our ideas for a public art piece for the new Health and Wellbeing Hub (2018).
