Recipient Org: Description Reason was established as a charity in February 2015, having previously operated from 2011 as a Bath-based independent organisation. Reason gives support and help, to reduce harm from problematic behaviours, particularly in the area of alcohol, gambling and drugs, both to those with problems with their own use, and to affected family members. Reason offers an accessible and confidential service to those living in Bath and North East Somerset and the surrounding areas. At Reason we believe that change is possible, regardless of any label that has been put upon someone such as “alcoholic” or “addict” or “dependent” or many others. Change may not be easy, but it is possible. Reason exists to support and encourage people’s desire to change; and to help them focus on the benefits of that change, working with the person and not focusing on the substance. The sessions are taken by John Hill. John has many years’ experience working in the field of alcohol, gambling and drugs: the details of John's experience, background and training can be found at Linkedin.
