| Recipient Org: Description | To provide suitable opportunities for members and the wider community to be involved in Cricket. In this, the Club, founded in 1846 (not 1952 when it actually moved to the present Ground), currently runs four Senior Teams, a Womens Softball Group, 10 Youth Teams (Four Boys, Four Girls and two 'Mixed') and the Frenchay Falcons Ability Cricket Group. The Club has 'Clubmark' status, granted by the English Cricket Board (ECB). The Club also hosts Tournaments for Primary and Secondary Schools, Gloucestershire County Age Group Fixtures, Bristol Youth Finals, Gloucestershire Clubs Youth Finals and Festivals, and an SEN Schools Day. We also host Charity Events (including No 5 Chambers) and a Cricket Day for Headway Bristol. |
