Recipient Org: Description The Bristol Royal Hospital for Children is one of the UK's leading children's hospitals providing life-saving treatment and care to more than 100,000 sick children and babies every year from all across Bristol, the South West of England, South Wales and beyond. Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity, raises funds to enrich and enhance quality of life for children and families in hospital through the provision of life-saving equipment, family facilities and a range of comforts and services that would otherwise be unaffordable under the NHS. The charity is entirely separate from the NHS and will never fund items or services that are rightly the responsibility of the NHS or any other statutory body. Since 1995, The Grand Appeal has raised over £28 million to transform facilities at Bristol Children’s Hospital, ensuring that the hospital remains at the very forefront of paediatric medical care in the UK.
