Recipient Org: Description Horfield Common CIC is a non-profit making social enterprise which works on activities which benefit the community of Horfield Common and which supports the development and delivery of community-generated activities which support Community Development, Social Cohesion, increased Active Citizenship and Civic Engagement. Horfield Common CIC aims: 1. To provide opportunities for the advancement of education 2. To advance Citizenship and Community Development 3. To advance amateur sport 4. To advance environmental protection or improvement 5. To advance health 6. To advance the arts, culture, heritage and science 7. Any other charitable purposes recognised by the Charity Commission and agreed by the CIC’s Directors, including, for example the provision of public amenities. We work in partnership with a wide range of other local groups and organisations to provide services to local people, and opportunities for increased community-generated activity which responds to existing and emerging need in the local area. Since 2016 we have been working in partnership with Manor Farm Community Hub - an informal network of residents living in the Manor Farm area of Horfield to explore how we can support improved outcomes for young people and older people in the area which currently has no community facilities.
