Recipient Org: Description Our overall aims and objectives are to work with members of the community and related organisations to reduce the harm caused by drugs and alcohol for the benefit of the community. Our vision is communities where people live free from the damage caused by drug and alcohol misuse, and are leading fulfilling healthy lives. The services /activities we provide: Hawkspring offers a Whole Family Approach and supports everyone who has been affected by drug & or alcohol misuse. Our addiction Support is a 360o approach aiming to provide support for all who has been affected when someone within the family unit is misusing substances; We provide Carers, Recovery and Youth support services. All three services are combined to help and support the substance misuser’s recovery, address all the family members' issues, prevent further negative consequences and strengthen the family as a unit. Each service has a range of components at the point of delivery: assessment, 1:1 support, group work, information and education, therapeutic and creative activities, signposting and onward referrals. In addition, we provide a telephone helpline for clients and crisis drop in service; we are increasingly the first point of call for people needing food vouchers or access to a telephone line to make an important call. Many of these issues related to and stemming from the addiction within the family. This can take the form of emotional support, coaching and advocacy or more practical issues such as emergency refuge accommodation. Our support is offered across the generations involved within each family, designed to work with the individual family members and their specific needs. We believe by offering support to the whole family, it will result in longer lasting change.
