Recipient Org: Description 1625ip support young people who are leaving care or homeless. Our aim is for young people to live independently, with access to trusted adults and the opportunities they need to succeed. We work with young people who are struggling to achieve on their own, their needs range from advice and guidance to intensive residential care. We currently support over 2,000 young people every year across the West of England through a comprehensive range of specialist housing and support projects. These include prevention services offering family mediation and advice services and access to safe and stable accommodation. Every young person is supported by a trusted key worker who can offer practical and emotional support. Our specialist staff include housing support workers, qualified mental health workers and a training and education team. We play an essential role in supporting young people to live a more independent life - equipping them through group work and one-to-one support with vital day-to-day life skills, knowledge and support, including training in money skills, managing a tenancy and cooking skills, as well as access to a range of activities that build confidence such as sport and music.
