Recipient Org: Description The Institute of Fundraising South West aims to create the environment and understanding so charity fundraisers can excel. The South West Development Directors' Forum (SWDDF) supports the skills, knowledge and professional development of charity sector leaders. Our two organisations work together to ensure charity staff at all levels have access to accessible, affordable and high quality professional development and support. IoF offers individual and organisational membership and delivers training, mentoring, conferences and workshops on fundraising. It produces a monthly newsletter covering events and advertising fundraising vacancies. SWDDF is for organisations and is free to join. Over 200 non-profit organisations including charities, universities, hospitals, museums, galleries, visitor attractions, social enterprises are involved. It organises: • Four Forum meetings per year for up to 80 charity leaders on topical issues e.g. philanthropic growth, GDPR, involving trustees, financial resilience, capital appeals • SWDDF Leadership Development Programme • Peer Learning Groups which meet every 6-8 weeks. • Monthly newsletter sharing news, events and senior charity vacancies.
