Recipient Org: Description Wellspring provides affordable Counselling for adults and free Counselling/CBT for Young People age 11-18 in North Somerset, for up to 12 months where there is clinical need. We provide 58 Counselling sessions a week for adults at 2 sites in Nailsea, and 82 sessions a week for CYP. Of these, 38 CYP Counselling sessions are at sites in Nailsea, Backwell and Portishead. 44 sessions a week of CYP early intervention CBT are provided at a community venue in Nailsea, Backwell School, Nailsea School, Clevedon School, St Katherine's School and 3 local Primary schools. CYP CBT is part of the Health Education England (HEE) funded training initiative from the Future in Mind report of 2012. Wellspring is a member of the IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) for CYP South West Collaborative. Wellspring has 3 trainee IAPT CYP Wellbeing Practitioners who are funded by HEE for the 12 months of their training only. 2 Trainees are now qualified. Our client base is usually around 80% people identifying as female in both the adult and CYP services and 20% people identifying as male .Our clients self refer, mostly after being recommended by their GP or teacher, and we have long waiting lists.
