Recipient Org: Description CHIVA aims to; ensure that every child and young person with HIV in the UK has the optimum health care provision; the opportunity to access high quality social and peer support, whether locally or through the CHIVA national support camp; tackle the stigma and discrimination experienced by people living with HIV by raising awareness and understanding and ensure the voices of children and young people with HIV are heard and their experiences and opinions are central to the development and work of CHIVA and heard in public forums. Our objectives are to enhance the health and social outcomes for children and young people growing up with HIV. We provide information, guidance and support for professionals, and for parents, children and young people who live with HIV; HIV education and peer support projects for children and young people and direct support including support to families.
