Recipient Org: Description | The Matthew Tree Project is an innovative and pioneering city-wide practitioner of a unique holistic social change model, developed since 2011 and built around the people it serves – ‘Rebuilding Lives’. We work strategically and collaboratively, in the most deprived communities of Bristol and South Gloucestershire, with key public and private sector partners, and with a long term goal to: ‘Empower people, who find themselves in crisis, to take control of their lives, and to rebuild a healthier, happier, dignified, fulfilling and self-sufficient future’ This is achieved by enabling people to: • Address the underlying causes of their crisis • Improve their health and wellbeing • Set, and work towards, personal goals • Learn new skills • Make decisions about the support they receive • Help shape the ‘Rebuilding Lives’ programme that is supporting them Also, using the unique insight provided to us by our client group (client voice) we aim to: • Influence policy makers and create a systemic environment that is conducive to enabling citizens living in deprived communities to improve their income, health, wellbeing and quality of life |
