Recipient Org: Description We support adults with learning disabilities living in our registered care home and supported living service. Our vision is a world where people are supported to live with equal rights and opportunities. Mission: We support people to live fulfilling lives. Values: Excellence, Dignity & Respect, Inclusion, Working Together. We were set up by the families of adults with learning disabilities for their family members. In our care home, we support up to 10 adults to live their lives. These people are between 40 and 70 and have varying abilities and needs. In many cases they now also live with age-related declining physical health and mobility in addition to their pre-existing learning disability. We support people in the everyday things including taking holidays, attending appointments, shopping and accessing entertainment in the community. As the sector and funding has changed , people have less access to day centres and community based activities and spend more time at home. We strive to constantly review and improve our service, and to provide the best possible, personalised support for people.
