Recipient Org: Description St Nicholas Church has three strategic aims - revitalising the church, playing our part in telling people about our faith and being involved in social action and transformation. We provide a number of services to people in our local communities including: supporting students at local universities; running a youth group; collecting food for three food banks in Bristol; working in HMP Bristol; mentoring children in local schools experiencing social and emotional difficulties and at risk of exclusion; working in partnership with local night shelters during the winter months providing essential supplies, an evening meal, manning the night shelters overnight and serving breakfast; running a support group for parents and babies; and running parenting skills sessions for prospective and new parents. We have just begun working with a hostel for homeless 16-25 year olds.
