Recipient Org: Description We provide free impartial confidential advice information and support to anyone in Bristol. We provide access to justice for all. We dealt with over 40,000 enquiries in 2020. Our services range from basic help and information through to fully supported casework for complex legal situations, court hearings for housing repossessions, and tribunal work. We cover all subject areas with a focus on Welfare rights, debt, housing and employment. We deliver targeted services to particularly disadvantaged groups and in the most deprived areas via outreach, in GP's surgeries, hospitals and community locations and clinic sessions for subjects such as immigration. We work in effective partnership with the advice sector locally. We are the lead agency for the Bristol Advice Partnership, a coalition of local agencies delivering advice across the city, funded by Bristol City Council. During the pandemic we have maintained our service delivery at all times by switching to different methods of delivery. We use evidence from our clients to raise awareness about the issues the issues that adversely affect peoples lives, such as discriminatory employment practices and contract models, we partner with the University supporting research into advice work best practice and societal need
