Recipient Org: Description ACH is a social enterprise and offers integration support for refugee and migrant communities in the West of England and also West Midlands with our head office in Bristol. We offer housing and also support for economic opportunity through training, careers advice, entrepreneurship support and language and communication support. Our aim is to ensure that whereever possible our client group can enter sustainable, decent and long term employment or small business opportunity which is also essential for accessing housing, public services and taking part in civic and community life. We also work directly with employers. We receive no on going public funding and all of our activities depend on specific funding streams that enable each activity. We do not have core funding to enable research and development. ACH works with some 2500 people per year and seek to ensure that refugee and migrant communities can fulfill their aspirations and potential. We work with many communities. So far only had limited engagement with migrants from EU member states. We are aware that many have been working in precarious employment in sectors such as hospitality, care, construction and agriculture and food processing. Their position has become more difficult following the impact of Covid and Brexit through the impact of lockdowns and the direct impact of the virus. We know that there are more than 50 00 migrants from EU member states and that the Polish and Romanian communities are most significant. ACH received a previous Quartet Grant for £3750 which enabled us to undertake a scoping study into the needs of this group. This has raised the issue through several workshops and events, built links to a number of key individuals and stakeholders and facilitated a pilot scheme to give careers support. This proposal for a small additional grant develops from this.
